Guest Speaker, Amber Dykshorn is a resident of Platte, South Dakota and a mom to three beautiful strong kids - Kalee, Kahne, and Kolbe.
She is a strong advocate in raising awareness of mental health needs of farmers and families. Her family's story has been shared by Keloland, the DailyYonder, the Washington Post and even in New Zealand. Her Facebook post sharing the loss of her husband has been shared over 2,000 times.
Amber will share her personal story of her husband, Chris's struggle with mental health and suicide. She hopes by sharing her story that those in need will seek help, while lessening the stigma associated with mental health.
